As many of us rang in the new year wishing to leave 2020 behind, we looked forward to the “magical shift” that would happen at midnight. I don’t know about you, but for me there was no “magic shift” that happened when the clock hit 12:00 am. Honestly, though, 2020 held so many wonderful blessings for so many families that I don’t want to forget it. For us, we welcomed our promise Judah into the world. We were blessed to dedicate him back to God. We’ve watched as friends and family who also held onto the promise of children received their promise. No matter what we faced last year, or what may come this year our God is still sovereign, and His promises are Yes and Amen.

2 Corinthians 1:20 says, “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us”.

Think about some of the good things that happened to you or those around you last year and write them down where you can see them daily. For us, it’s journals that I keep in our living room. Use these notes as a daily reminder that no matter what happens this year, our God still keeps His promises. God is consistent and when it comes to an ever-changing world consistency with Him is key. I’m thankful that we are still able to attend church in person or online. I’m also thankful for His word and the people He has set in my path to remind me of all the good. If you ever need a reminder of God’s promises, there are plenty of people on campus or in the chat that could share with you their “Yes and Amen” moments.
